Employment

Our company was founded in 1990 by four enthusiastic scientists with vision and innovation. Their spirit and approach has fueled our tremendous and continuing growth, and today we have over 100 people in our organization. We are a world-renown supplier of cutting edge electrical instruments and systems.

Our inspiring and rewarding workplace enviroment drives engineering creativity. The company's successful experience provides a challenging playing field and oppurtunities to learn and grow professionally. This experience is shared through continuos in-house training programs in the fundementals of our applications. Many graduates who joined the company years ago have since matured, finding their niche in our globally focused company.

IRIS Power LP's sizeable R&D Department develops diagnostic and measurement methods in collaboration with customers, concerned with operational reliability of their large electrical machines. We design new sensors, processing electronics, data acquisition units, drivers, and application software.

The Manufacturing Team assembles instruments and monitoring systems that help utilities provide reliable power for homes, schools, hospitals and plants. Heavy industries also benefit by improving the dependability of their motors, generators, transformers and switchgear.

Our hands-on Technical Support experts travel around the globe to oversee the implementation of our solutions.

Sales and Application Engineers match market needs and opportunities with our capabilities. We have offices in Canada, US, UK, India and China.

If you have an aptitude for learning, the energy and the attitude to help us accomplish our goals in our fast paced multinational and multicultural environment, submit your resume today to info@irispower.com

      • Determine the true condition of large electrical machines with IRIS Power diagnostic instrumentation and services.
      • Predict and prevent failures in generators, large motors, dry type transformers, and switchgear.

Years of scientific research and practical field experience have yielded instruments that help professionals like you extend the life of electrical machines at minimum cost. IRIS Power instruments perform equipment monitoring as well as periodic on-line and off-line tests to:

      • Assess insulation ageing and deterioration through Partial Discharge Analysis (on-line)
      • Diagnose rotor shorted turns through magnetic flux analysis (on-line)
      • Detect cracked rotor bars with current signature analysis (on-line)
      • Recognize motor insulation hazards such as voltage surges (on-line)
      • Find problems in stator laminations (off-line)
      • Detect problems in transformer tap changers (off-line)
      • Automatically test Current Transformers (CT's) (off-line)
      • Identify potential problems in HV breakers by measuring contact resistance (off-line)

      INTELLIGENT TOOLS FOR INTELLIGENT MOVES!

    • By avoiding the display of overwhelming test data, Iris instruments allows non-experts to use the technology, revealing

      • What to fix
      • When to fix it!
      • And often - how to fix it!

WE STRIVE TO SAVE YOUR TIME !

    • The opportunity to inspect large electrical machinery is less frequent now than in the last century. The time between inspections is continuing to increase, as companies and utilities strive for efficiency. At the same time, large generators and motors are aging. Condition assessment using data acquired while machines are operating can be used to determine the need for and the nature of required maintenance.

      POWER ON WITH IRIS POWER.

    • IRIS Power founders have been performing groundbreaking PD research in Ontario Hydro since the mid 1970-s. That work resulted in the continuous improvement of PD instruments and software. Our group of world class machine experts, with broad experience in the international arena, is standing by to assist you with your electrical rotating machine issues.

      WE HELP YOU PLAY SMART.

    • For over 20 years, IRIS Power served as a conduit to analyze and store Partial Discharge data collected by our customers around the world. The ever-expanding database of measurement statistics related to specific machines is yours to access as an IRIS Power customer. The Result?
